Heather Rahrig, RN BSN, CMC

Agency Director & Co-Owner

Heather has over 20 years of committed professional experience in the nursing and geriatric care fields. She has a Bachelors degree in Gerontology as well as a Bachelors in Nursing from The Ohio State University. She also has her Care Management Certification. She is a Care Manager in addition to being an RN and BSN. Heather has served in a variety of leadership roles, including Director of an assisted living community and Director of an Alzheimer's Care Center where her focus was maintaining her residents' independence and self worth. Heather is a Registered Nurse with expertise in the assessment and primary care of people with stroke and heart disease. She founded a professional elder home care group where every member has the same passion to help older adults enabling easier referral options and better continuity of care for clients. Heather is an active volunteer with the Alzheimer's Association and belongs to several professional groups in the greater Charlotte area serving seniors. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and her passion continues to center around those with Alzheimer's, enriching their daily lives and creating meaning. Heather enjoys serving adults and seniors, where she is committed to compassionate care and aging in place.

Brian Rahrig

Director of Operations & Co-Owner

Brian brings extensive experience in corporate recruiting, account management, technology, and human resources to Carepoint. He is committed to providing exceptional support to our clients, providing a family-oriented atmosphere for our employees with a focus on giving back to the communities in which we serve. He currently serves as Director of Operations with day-to-day accountability for all administrative functions on behalf of Carepoint.

Marissa

Marissa discovered her passion of serving seniors while volunteering at an adult daycare center throughout her college career. She loved spending quality time with seniors by hearing their stories and receiving great life advice! Marissa quickly changed her major to Healthcare Management after deciding she wanted to continue making a difference in people's lives. She completed a 400+ hour internship at an assisted living and memory care community, where she then worked part time her senior year of college. She worked alongside with each department manager, gaining knowledge about sales, marketing, finance, operations, activities and more. After graduating and receiving her Bachelor's Degree at Winthrop University, Marissa was offered the Director of Business Operations role at a new assisted living and memory care community. Marissa's favorite part about being a Human Resource Manager is developing strong relationships with employees and sharing her excitement about working with adults and seniors! When Marissa is not at work, you can find her spending time with friends and family, snuggled up with her 2 orange cats, or dreaming about the beach!

She comes to Carepoint with a unique 15+ years background in healthcare, business development, and various management roles. Tina Cochran

Client Care Coordinator

Tina comes to us with years of experience in the healthcare industry where she did account management, scheduling as well as many administrative functions. She is originally from Virginia but has lived in Charlotte for more than 15 years. At Carepoint she serves as the liaison between clients and caregivers to ensure continuity of care and develop routines that enable smooth daily client visits. Tina also assists with transitioning new clients and their caregivers. Her mission at Carepoint is to provide the best quality care to her clients and their families.

Nancy Cullen

Senior Resource Advisor

Nancy Cullen joined Carepoint as a Senior Resource Advisor in July, 2020.  Prior to becoming a member of the Carepoint team, she has accomplished a multifaceted career in varied arenas along the healthcare continuum.  She has over ten years of focused experience in planning, supervising, coordinating care for the senior population in Charlotte and surrounding areas.  Other roles include hospital and community based experience as an Executive Director of an Assisted Living community, a Business Executive for a geriatric care management and private duty home care company, Director of Provider Relations with a long term acute care hospital, Director of a private duty nursing company, and spent 26 years in varied roles at Carolinas Healthcare (Atrium)  System as a therapist and as a rehab director.  Throughout her career in healthcare, Nancy has developed not only in-depth clinical expertise, but a multi-faceted knowledge of the public and private care delivery systems that she used to advocate for individuals and to assist families, professionals and the community in assessing and locating the best alternative to care needs for those they serve or care for.

 

Nancy is certified in the state of NC as an Assisted Living Administrator and a North Carolina Certified Dementia Practitioner. She received a MS and BS from North Carolina State University.

Nancy is originally from New Jersey, and has lived in Norfolk, Nashville, San Diego and recently moved to Charlotte in January of 2023. She has a BS in education from Old Dominion University and then received her BSN from Seton Hall University. Nancy started her career in home care and case management 15 years ago. Nancy has 3 children. One son, who attends Clemson University, and two daughters who are 19 and 11 years old. In her spare time, she loves going to the beach, going to concerts and staying active!
