Heather has over 20 years of committed professional experience in the nursing and geriatric care fields. She has a Bachelors degree in Gerontology as well as a Bachelors in Nursing from The Ohio State University. She also has her Care Management Certification. She is a Care Manager in addition to being an RN and BSN. Heather has served in a variety of leadership roles, including Director of an assisted living community and Director of an Alzheimer's Care Center where her focus was maintaining her residents' independence and self worth. Heather is a Registered Nurse with expertise in the assessment and primary care of people with stroke and heart disease. She founded a professional elder care group where every member has the same passion to help older adults enabling easier referral options and better continuity of care for clients. Heather is an active volunteer with the Alzheimer's Association and belongs to several professional groups in the greater Charlotte area serving seniors. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and her passion continues to center around those with Alzheimer's, enriching their daily lives and creating meaning. Heather enjoys serving adults and seniors, where she is committed to compassionate care and aging in place.
Brian brings extensive experience in corporate recruiting, account management, technology, and human resources to Carepoint. He is committed to providing exceptional support to our clients, providing a family-oriented atmosphere for our employees with a focus on giving back to the communities in which we serve. He currently serves as Director of Operations with day-to-day accountability for all administrative functions on behalf of Carepoint.
Originally from South Dakota, with two grown daughters, Myrna has been in the Charlotte area for 31 years. She started out in the banking industry and decided on a career change that would fulfill her passion of caring for others. In 2006, she became a graduate of Mercy School of Nursing. Her clinical knowledge and supervisory experience were gained working at Atrium/Carolinas Medical Center Pineville for 12 years, and 2 years working in Long Term Care at Liberty Healthcare. With over 14 years of Adult Healthcare experience she is dedicated to the safety and well being of her patients.
Originally from Michigan, Donna has been in the Charlotte area for 14 years. She comes to Carepoint with a unique 15+ years background in healthcare, business development, and various management roles. Donna has a deep appreciation for how home health care can improve the quality of life for the senior population. Her compassion and commitment to our clients and caregivers makes her a valued asset to our company.
Veronica has decided to join her family and friends here in North Carolina, from Long Island! She brings more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare field to Carepoint. Most recently, she was a Healthcare Services Coordinator & Senior Recruiter for Horizon Healthcare in New York. Prior to that, she worked at NSLIJ Health System. She is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate client support.
Veronica has an in-depth understanding of the following markets: Hospital, Homecare, HHA, Quality Assurance and Laboratory as well as Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy. She has significant experience in recruiting high-quality caregivers in multiple specialties in order to ensure that our clients have the finest care available. Veronica volunteers as an End of Life Doula. She excels at understanding and delivering a heart-centered and professional experience connecting with people as our Human Resource Manager
Tina comes to us with years of experience in the healthcare industry where she did account management, scheduling as well as many administrative functions. She is originally from Virginia but has lived in Charlotte for more than 15 years. At Carepoint she serves as the liaison between clients and caregivers to ensure continuity of care and develop routines that enable smooth daily client visits. Tina also assists with transitioning new clients and their caregivers. Her mission at Carepoint is to provide the best quality care to her clients and their families.
Nancy Cullen joined Carepoint, Inc as a Senior Resource Advisor in July, 2020. Prior to becoming a member of the Carepoint team, she has accomplished a multifaceted career in varied arenas along the healthcare continuum. She has over ten years of focused experience in planning, supervising, coordinating care for the senior population in Charlotte and surrounding areas. Other roles include hospital and community based experience as an Executive Director of an Assisted Living community, a Business Executive for a geriatric care management and private duty home care company, Director of Provider Relations with a long term acute care hospital, Director of a private duty nursing company, and spent 26 years in varied roles at Carolinas Healthcare (Atrium) System as a therapist and as a rehab director. Throughout her career in healthcare, Nancy has developed not only in-depth clinical expertise, but a multi-faceted knowledge of the public and private care delivery systems that she used to advocate for individuals and to assist families, professionals and the community in assessing and locating the best alternative to care needs for those they serve or care for.
Nancy is certified in the state of NC as an Assisted Living Administrator and a North Carolina Certified Dementia Practitioner. She received a MS and BS from North Carolina State University.
After graduating summa cum laude with a degree in Nursing in 1976, Sally began a dedicated nursing career that has reached multiple parts of the care provider field. She is the former owner of Frontline Geriatric Care Management, a Certified Senior Advisor, a member of the Aging Life Care Association and a former member of the National Private Duty Association, for which she served on the Standards and Ethics Committee. Sally was named one of Charlotte's "Top 25 Women in Business" and also one of the "Top 50 Most Influential Women" in the region.
Through her businesses, Sally has received the North Carolina's Family Business of the Year Award (bestowed by Wake Forest University), the Better Business Bureau Consumer Foundation's coveted Silver Torch Award honoring service excellence to the older adult community, and the prestigious North Carolina New Organizational Vision Award from the State of North Carolina and The Carolinas Center for Medical Excellence. Prior to launching Frontline GCM, Sally, along with her husband Don co-founded Partners In Care of the Carolinas, a multi-year winner of Home Care Pulse's "Best of Home Care" award, and widely regarded as one of North Carolina's leading in-home caregiving companies. She is proud of her many years of service and leadership in the local, state and national senior care industry.
